Isn't it great to be alive?

But isn't life just so beautiful?

When you're happy and accepting. When you appreciate and let your hair down.

Isn't it the greatest to sit in the sun and feel the energy seep through your skin while the warm breeze brushes your cheek. It's in that moment that I remember how lucky I am. Lucky to be healthy, lucky to live in such a great place, lucky for the times of realization.

The thought of life...

it gives me chills.

each day is a new opportunity

(my affirmation for the day)

A new opportunity to be kind, to be honest, to be helpful. A new opportunity to love yourself, to be confident and to have a fresh start. Each day holds the possibility of a miracle. That one small opportunity can blow up, can change your life - if you let it. Grasp that new opportunity and run with it; as far as you can go. Be loving and accepting...of yourself and others. Leave the judgement, hate, worries, and regrets for yesterday to deal with, because today holds a new opportunity. Accept it, embrace it, use it, love it, cherish it, be grateful for it, and make something out of it. Today was not a waste of a day, you won't let it be. Every night, think of all the things that you had to be grateful for that day. The ability to push yourself in exercise, the beautiful love from your friends or family, and if nothing else, your health: every single breath. Let this new opportunity be gratitude. There has to be something more to this life than the surface shows, dig deeper.

While it's snowing in the majority of the country, we enjoy the start of summer.

Summer in January. What's better?

Those three months people live for, are ours more than half the year.

Miranda Kerr

She's a role model to so many girls, but for me, it's not because she has the most amazing body ever, or because she has such a great job, it's because of her life style, and the way she chooses to make her job help others. You may not know that Miranda leads an extremely healthy, and organic lifestyle in everything she does. I recently finished reading her book Treasure Yourself. It was a book written for girls my age to help them learn about their bodies and having a healthier lifestyle. It is by no means a diet book, but a book about how beautiful a girl is by being content with her body and having a positive aura radiating from within. I love her outlook on life, and her thoughts on controlling any situation. The book is full of affirmations, declarations of truth, that you repeat to yourself that soon guide your way of life. By reading the book, I feel like my life has already changed in small ways for the better. You don't always have to be a ray of sunshine, but I feel like I have a new way to look at bad situations, and better ways to handle them, that will benefit me in the long run. I believe her thoughts on connecting with nature, and listening to your emotions can completely change a person, as I have experienced with myself. I couldn't recommend this book enough. If you ever feel down on yourself, or need a pick-me-up, there isn't a better place to turn.
